OK, given Sony's track record of modifying their existing hardware, ad nauseum, is this really a surprise? I mean, since the release of the PS3, Sony has been blasted for its high price tag. Never mind the fact that it includes a Blu Ray player...

A listing on Amazon's German site, according to 1up, is titled "Playstation 3 Konsole slim." I guaruntee that the new PS3 will be priced around $299. Could this be a ploy by Amazon to get hype for the preorders? Possibly... Sony has not confirmed or denied as of yet...
